Senior Lawyers Section

The Section purposes are to uphold the honor and dignity of the profession of law, to apply the knowledge and experience of its members to the promotion of the public good, to present programs of educational and general interest, to preserve the history of the legal profession in Los Angeles, and to cultivate social interaction among its members.

The Section is the voice of senior lawyers within LACBA and serves the particular interests of senior lawyers. Membership consists of LACBA members over the age of 55 or who have been admitted to practice for 25 years or more.

On March 1, Gary Greene and His Band of Barristers performed a big band concert especially for the Senior Lawyers Section at the California Club.  It was an incredible night of music and fun.  Here are a few photos from the event:

Frozen in Time

An extremely popular concept created by the Senior Lawyers Section,
Frozen in Time-Historical Events features legal proceedings unique to the legal history of Los Angeles County or by participation of Los Angeles lawyers. The first two stunningly successful programs were:

  1. An expert analysis of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the investigation by the Warren Commission featuring Vince Bugliosi, Hon. Richard Mosk, and John Van de Kamp.
  2. The legal impact of the O.J. Simpson criminal trial moderated by now County Counsel, Andrea Ordin.

Section resources and documents will be added here as they become available.
