Trial Practice Inn of Court
The Inn of Court began in 1990 and remains a strong presence in the L.A. County Bar. For the present fiscal year 2018-19, the Inn will not hold regular meetings as it spends the year determining how to best meet its members’ needs for the future.

If you are looking for an opportunity to get to know, learn from, and obtain the advice and opinion of judges and experienced trial practitioners in a collegial setting, the LACBA Litigation Section Trial Practice Inn of Court is for you! The Trial Practice Inn is a chartered Inn of the American Inns of Court, an organization devoted to fostering excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills within the bench and bar. Our Inn is dedicated to improving advocacy skills by providing an unparalleled opportunity to learn side-by-side with experienced judges and lawyers in our community.
Our primary mission is to share experiences between federal and state court judges, seasoned pros, and less experienced practitioners, and by doing so fostering a meaningful bond and network within our legal community. We hope you will join!
The Inn's monthly meetings are designed to promote social interaction, professional relationships, and camaraderie. Before every formal program, Inn members of various experience levels and specialties are encouraged to network with other members, including sitting judges. In addition, members may have the opportunity to work together to produce MCLE programs on trial skills and other issues relevant to a trial practitioner. These programs are particularly important now as recent budget cuts are dramatically impacting our practices.
