A Practitioner's Guide to Proposed Rule Revisions
The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee (PREC) is seeking members' input on Comment Letters to Proposed Amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of California by Monday, September 12, 2016. The State Bar will also accept individual submissions through its public comment website until the September 27 deadline.
In June 2016 the State Bar of California Board of Trustees authorized the release of proposed new and amended California Rules of Professional Conduct for public comment period. The deadline for comments is September 27, 2016. Standing on the shoulders of the first Commission for the Revision of the Rules of Professional Conduct appointed in 2001, the Second Commission (RRC2) produced a critical, from-the-ground-up, no-holds-barred revision of the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Every California lawyer has a stake in the outcome.

Veterans Legal Services Project Thanks Attorneys and Staff of Foley & Mansfield
LACBA Veterans Legal Services Project thanks the attorneys and staff from Foley & Mansfield for donating their time and talents at the Project’s August 17 legal clinic at Patriotic Hall in downtown Los Angeles. For several Foley attorneys, it marked their third time volunteering to assist veterans at the clinic. Their assistance is crucial in our efforts to help veterans overcome legal barriers to employment, such as outstanding tickets, warrants and criminal convictions. With confidence and improved employability, our clients are able to rejoin the workforce and move on with their lives.
