LACBA's Veterans Legal Services Project Thanks Collaborators

As the fall season gets fully underway, the LACBA Veterans Legal Services Project would like to thank the many organizations that have collaborated with the project to bring free legal services to the veterans of Los Angeles County. We thank Farmers Insurance and Foley and Mansfield for returning for the second time this year to headline our July and August clinics; and we extend a special thank you to State Farm Insurance and the attorneys of Mark R. Weiner & Associates for headlining our September clinic. It is with the support from your firms and legal departments year after year, in filling our clinics with outstanding and compassionate pro bono attorneys, that we are able to assist so many veterans with their outstanding traffic tickets and warrants, and aid with expunging criminal convictions. You have helped so many people get the second chance that they needed to take that positive step forward in their lives.

We also to thank the attorneys of Levitt Quinn for their continued collaboration in delivering exceptional Family Law services this summer, as well as in the winter and spring. We look forward to another successful Family Law clinic on October 16, 2019. If you are aware of any veterans who are in need of family law services, or assistance with tickets or expungements, please visit lacba.org/veterans or call (213) 896-6537 today to register for either of the October 16th clinics.

Next, we thank the LA Sparks, who in August invited the Veterans Project to participate in both Legal Night and Service Day to give back to those who have served our nation. It was an honor to participate in and meet the many veterans and volunteers for the services organizations in attendance. May LA Sparks continue to help veterans “Spark the True You.”

We send a very special thank you to the Land of the Free Foundation for selecting the LACBA Veterans Project as a beneficiary for its Golf Classic held on November 11, 2019. Your generous donation aids us in developing new legal services for Veteran Entrepreneurs, helping them get from startup to stable. It also helps us to expand the number of on-site consultation locations where we can deliver services, as well as help support our existing services.

The Armed Forces Committee held its Armed Forces Ball on Saturday, October 19, 2019, honoring our generous supporters Wells Fargo while raising funds to support the Veterans Project. This evening of dinner and music will help to make a difference in the lives of LA’s veterans. To view photographs from the LACBA Armed Forces Ball, CLICK HERE.
