LACBA Honors Volunteers at the Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards Reception
Newest 50-Year-Club members also recognized

Nearly 100 LACBA volunteers and supporters came together at the 2017 LACBA Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards Reception on May 24, to celebrate and honor volunteers who have donated their time and talents to LACBA and its legal services projects.

Former LACBA and State Bar of California President Patrick M. Kelly, who served as emcee for the reception, commended the volunteers for the impact on the practice of law and in delivering critical pro bono services for those who cannot afford an attorney or understand how to access the justice system.

Without their service, the Projects—AIDS, Domestic Violence, Veterans, and Immigration—would not have been able to help nearly 18,000 people and provide more than $3.7 million in pro bono services last year.
