Jeanne NishimotoJeanne Nishimoto is the Pro Bono Training Coordinator at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Ms. Nishimoto earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as an executive editor to the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform and participated in the school's advanced clinical program. She received her undergraduate degree from Amherst College.


Nisha Parekh, Trial Attorney, Office of the Solicitor, U.S. Department of Labor


Nisha Parekh is a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor in the Los Angeles office.  She completed a dual law and master’s in public policy (JD/MPP) degree program at UCLA in May 2017. She also completed specializations in Critical Race Studies and in public interest law through the David J. Epstein Public Interest Law and Policy Program.  She took several years to work on other projects prior to attending law school. These include teaching, documentary film production, urban agriculture policy work, policy work for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and completion of a Fulbright Scholarship.
