Assist low-income tenants facing eviction during the pandemic by helping to prepare answers to Unlawful Detainer complaints in this remote clinic that takes place every week. Volunteers and clients “meet” via a conference call, and housing staff attorneys are available to provide real-time assistance in a video conference room for the duration of the clinic.
Volunteers may elect to continue pro bono representation of the client in demurrer hearings, motions for summary judgment, and even trial – though there is no obligation to do so beyond the clinic.
Contact Monica Mar, mmar@clsocal.org, to sign up.
