Register now.

Discover how small firms can connect with referral sources and find new clients. Select from more than 20 business development and marketing strategy sessions with nationally recognized law firm marketing experts and prominent California attorneys.

The Small Firm and Solo Conference, which takes place from June 26 to 27 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is presented by the Los Angeles County Bar Association in association with The Rainmaker Institute and American Lawyer Media. Stephen Fairley, CEO, The Rainmaker Institute, the nation's largest law firm marketing company for small law firms, and presenter at the conference said, "There are more attorneys in California than any other state. The national average is one attorney for every 300 people, but here in California it’s one attorney for every 175 people. A growing number of small law firms are struggling with the economy right now. This conference will help them build their practice using proven, ethical strategies.”

Some of the topics to be covered include:

  • Building a referral-based practice.
  • Using Internet marketing and technology.
  • Emerging trends in law.
  • Using blogs and LinkedIn to find new clients.

Attendees receive all materials on CD from every session. LACBA members receive significant discounts on registration, which includes breakfast and lunch on both days. And, because the conference will be held at the same time and place as the LegalTech West technology show, conference attendees receive a free pass to the LegalTech West exhibit hall and plenary sessions.
