October 28, 2014: Los Angeles County Bar Association Launches Counsel for Justice. The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), one of the largest voluntary metropolitan bar associations in the country, has announced the merger of the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation, LACBA's fundraising organization, and Projects Inc., LACBA's public service organization, into LACBA Counsel for Justice.
September 17, 2014: LACBA's Dialogues on Freedom Brings Judges and Attorneys into LAUSD Classrooms to Lead Students in Debates That Examine the Balance of Personal Freedom and Security. The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), one of the largest metropolitan voluntary bar associations in the country, in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), and in conjunction with the Los Angeles Superior Court, will hold its annual Dialogues on Freedom on Wednesday, September 17, as a component of LAUSD Constitution Day.
May 28, 2014: Edith R. Matthai to Receive LACBA's Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award. The Los Angeles County Bar Association, one of the largest voluntary metropolitan bar associations in the country, has selected trial attorney and former LACBA President and Trustee Edith R. Matthai as the recipient of its highest honor—the Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award.
May 7, 2014: Los Angeles County Bar Association Rates the Qualifications of 26 Judicial Candidates Seeking Election to the Los Angeles Superior Court. The Los Angeles County Bar Association 2014 Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee Report which rates the qualifications of each of the 26 candidates seeking election as a judge to the Los Angeles Superior Court in a contested race is now available.
