Notice from the Court:   The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, is currently is seeking applications for Probate Attorney I.  Monthly compensation is $7,834.00 - $9,731.00 plus a contribution of an additional 14.5% of monthly salary to purchase medical benefits.  Any portion of the contribution not used to purchase benefits is given to the employee as taxable income.  Probate Attorneys analyze and advise the Court on matters of Probate Law and respond to legal questions from court staff, attorneys and litigants.  Incumbents must be able to analyze and interpret Probate statutory and case law and apply state and local rules of court.   Probate Attorneys may be required to act as judges pro tem and hear probate calendars and cases, including short cause trials.   Assignments, including assignments to district courts, are made based upon the needs of the Court.  Traveling to various district courts in the county for purposes of performing assigned duties is required.   Qualified applicants must be a member of the California State Bar in good standing and possess five years of experience practicing law in the State of California, including two years of experience in probate law or working as a Trust Officer.  To download application or obtain further information please visit  This recruitment will remain open until the needs of the Court are met.
