Los Angeles , August 30, 2004 …The Los Angeles County Bar Association, the largest local voluntary bar in the nation, announced today the formation of its Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award Committee. The Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award is presented by LACBA to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to improving the administration of justice in Los Angeles County. The award is the highest and most prestigious award of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
John Collins, LACBA President, appointed the Honorable Lee Edmon, a Past-President of LACBA, as Chair. Judge Edmon will lead a prestigious group, including LACBA Past President John Taylor of Taylor Kupfer Summers & Rhodes; LACBA Assistant Vice President Danette Meyers, Office of the Los Angeles District Attorney; LACBA Trustee Bruce Iwasaki, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles; and LACBA Assistant Vice President Alan Steinbrecher of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP. The Committee will be considering a number of worthy candidates for this honor and will make its recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
