The Los Angeles County Bar Association has, among its purposes, to promote the administration of justice and to apply the knowledge and experience of its members in the field of law to the promotion of the public good. In furtherance of these purposes, LACBA traditionally has been actively involved in supporting a qualified and competent judiciary, and free and fair judicial elections. That is why it established the Judicial Election Evaluations Committee (JEEC), the Appellate Election Evaluations Committee, and the Fair Judicial Election Practices Committee, among others.
The 2012 Judicial Candidate Evaluation Ratings of the JEEC, along with the 2012 Judicial Evaluation Results in English and in Spanish evaluated candidates running for the contested judicial elections in Los Angeles County. Other resources, information and activities concerning both the March and November judicial elections, and links to related sites of interest, are also available here as a service to our members and the public.
