The Los Angeles County Bar Association's Acclaimed
Trial Advocacy Project (TAP) Certificate Courses

Created in 1978, Traditional TAP is a unique, two-part course where attorneys receive comprehensive, in-depth trial advocacy training and actual trial experience. More than 1500 attorneys have participated in Traditional TAP, providing more than 250,000 hours of pro bono service.

John Carson explains the TAP Program and its start in 1978. Watch the six-minute video clip.

In light of the overwhelming success and popularity of Traditional TAP, LACBA has expanded TAP to create several additional TAP courses - Introductory TAP, TAP: The Seminar Series, and TAP: The Workshop Series, providing different TAP courses for different skill levels:

Introductory TAP (i-TAP)
California Rules of Evidence Seminar
TAP: The Workshop Series
Traditional TAP (t-TAP)

For questions about any of the TAP courses, please contact the TAP Administrator at: TAP@lacba.org.

"TAP" and "The Trial Advocacy Project" are registered service marks of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
