The Barristers Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Barristers) has been active for over 70 years and continues bringing professional development and opportunity related services to young lawyers and the community in Los Angeles County. If you are a member of LACBA and are either 36 years of age or younger or have been admitted to practice for 5 years or less, you qualify as a Barrister. The mission of Barristers is to provide opportunities for new and young lawyers to develop legal skills, build professional reputations and network beyond each member's workplace and to promote public service projects. Barristers activities also provide a forum for new and young lawyers to develop leadership skills and to interact with judges, experienced attorneys as well as other Barristers members.

Election for 2013-2014 Barristers Vice President

The nomination for the 2013-2014 Vice President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's (LACBA) Barristers Executive Committee has been contested. As a result, an election will take place to determine the Vice President of the Barristers Executive Committee for the 2013-2014 bar year. The candidates to be considered are Robert Glassman of Panish Shea & Boyle LLP, and Ori Blumenfeld of the Law Offices of Michael Jay Berger. Below you will find their respective candidate statements.

Voting will begin Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PDT and will close on Thursday, May 30, 2013 4:00 p.m. PDT

In order to vote, you must be a current lawyer member of the Barristers Section. Also note that only one vote per member will count.

Please provide your name and your state bar number in your email. Votes are valid only if both the voter's name and state bar number are provided.
