Judge Arthur L. Alarcón Receives LACBA's Outstanding Jurist Award

The Honorable Arthur L. Alarcón, Senior Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, received LACBA's 2014 Outstanding Jurist Award at a May 7 luncheon at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles. Selected photos from the luncheon appear below. 

  LACBA President Patricia Egan Daehnke presents Judge Alarcón with the Outstanding Jurist Award for his life-long and significant contributions to the bench, the practice of law, and the community at large through counseling young lawyers, pushing for equality inside and outside of the courtroom, and providing for the betterment of the community.

  Judge Alarcón has served as a distinguished trial jurist for 50 years at both the state and federal levels. He continues to serve voluntarily on the Ninth Circuit as a Senior Judge.

  Nearly 300 people attended the May 7 luncheon to honor Judge Alarcón.
