LACBA Hosts Armed Forces Ball on February 22 to Support Veterans Legal Services

The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Armed Forces Committee will host its Second Armed Forces Ball “Honoring America’s Veterans” to raise money to support pro bono legal services for veterans and active duty personnel on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

This year’s honorees include Got Your 6, a campaign that unites major studios, networks, and talent agencies with top veteran-focused nonprofit organizations to support the reintegration of veterans into civilian life through six key pillars: Jobs, Health, Family, Education, Housing, and Leadership.

The Armed Forces Ball, an elegant black-tie affair, will feature armed forces personnel in full military dress coming together to honor America’s veterans. Speakers are expected to include high ranking military officers and civic leaders recognizing the evening’s honorees. Each branch of the military will be represented and a Presentation of the Colors will be made.

LACBA, through its Armed Forces Committee and Veterans Pro Bono Project, works to identify and address opportunities to assist veterans, active duty military personnel, and reservists with their legal needs.

Proceeds from the Armed Forces Ball will support the training and deployment of pro bono attorneys to assist veterans with family law, immigration, and outstanding ticket and warrant resolution. Click HERE to see a video recap of the First Armed Forces Ball.
