Armed Forces Ball "Honoring America's Veterans"—Supporting Pro Bono Legal Services for Veterans

Second Armed Forces Ball is scheduled for February 22, 2014. To learn how your firm or organization can become a sponsor, please click here.

Join us on Saturday, February 22, 2014 as the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) and its Armed Forces Committee host the second Annual Armed Forces Ball “Honoring America’s Veterans” to support pro bono legal services for active duty and veteran personnel.

LACBA, through its Armed Forces Committee and Veterans Pro Bono Project, works to find and address opportunities to assist veterans, active military personnel, and reservists with their legal needs.

LACBA identifies judges, lawyers, paralegals and law students who are interested in providing assistance to service personnel and veterans across a wide spectrum of legal matters including, among others, family law and immigration, two areas traditionally underserved within the military.

Speakers at the 2014 Armed Forces Ball are expected to include high-ranking military officers and civic leaders recognizing the evening’s honorees. The keynote speaker at the first ball was Robin Umberg, Brigadier General (Ret.), Undersecretary, California Department of Veterans Affairs.

The primary honoree in 2014 will be Got Your 6, a campaign that unites major studios, networks, and talent agencies with top veteran-focused nonprofit organizations to support the reintegration of veterans into civilian life through six key pillars: Jobs, Health, Family, Education, Housing, and Leadership. Additional honorees will be announced later this year.

Table and individual tickets sales dates will be announced later this year.
