Mentors Needed for LACBA New Admittee Mentor Program

Volunteer to be a mentor by contacting mentorprogram@lacba.org.

Due to the tremendous success of the New Admittee Mentor Program in the past, LACBA will run its mentor program this spring. Whether you are an attorney or judge, can you donate at least one hour or more of your time to mentor a new admittee?

As these new attorneys enter the legal profession, access to experienced members of the Los Angeles legal community is just another privilege of becoming a LACBA member.

We need experienced attorneys from all practice areas to volunteer!

LACBA will celebrate all attorneys newly admitted to the State Bar of California at our annual reception on April 4, 2013. That evening, new admittees will apply for mentors based on their practice area interests. You do not have to be present at the event to donate a mentoring experience. Mentors will NOT be announced at the event.

Some ideas for mentor time include:

•  Meeting at your firm and/or career advice
•  Shadow for a day in court
•  Social event such as baseball or basketball game
•  Lunch
•  Round of golf
•  Practice area advice

Thank you to our members who have already volunteered their time!

To volunteer to become a mentor, please e-mail mentorprogram@lacba.org before March 22, 2013.
