LACBA’s Judicial Elections Evaluation Report for June 5 Elections Scheduled for Release
Report and other information can be found here in mid-May as a resource for family and clients. The report will also be available in Spanish.
LACBA’s Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee reviews all candidates running in contested elections for superior court offices in Los Angeles County. The extensive review process involves the submission of written materials, followed by one or more interviews or other meetings with JEEC members. Once the process is completed, the JEEC report is posted online. In addition to the report, LACBA posts candidate biographies as well as other election-related resources and information as a service to our members and the public.
Appointed by LACBA President Eric A. Webber, this year’s 38 committee members represent a cross-section of the legal community including lawyers from the private and public sectors; sole practitioners and members of small, medium, and large law firms; prosecutors and criminal defense attorneys; and members of the plaintiff and defense bars. Committee members have extensive courtroom and trial experience, and a firm understanding of the qualifications necessary to be an effective judicial officer.
