Managing Your LACBA E-Mail

Sting summed it up. “Too much information running through my brain. Too much information driving me insane."

You are a busy attorney, and nothing is more valuable than your time. Clients and colleagues bombard you with e-mails, lots of e-mails. And sometimes too much of something is not a good thing.

At LACBA, our goal is to provide information to help you with your practice, including newsletters and announcements for substantive law areas, plus the Daily EBriefs and Elerts to which you may subscribe.

But you may not be receiving everything that LACBA sends out. To find out what lists are available for subscription, contact LACBA's Member Service Department at (213) 896-6560 or e-mail msd@lacba.org.

Feeling overwhelmed? Here are a few ways that you can manage your LACBA e-mail delivery.

You can unsubscribe from individual e-mail lists. At the bottom of every e-mail and electronic newsletter, you will find an unsubscribe link, which will take you to a Web page asking you to confirm your request to unsubscribe from that e-mail.

If you belong to a section's listserve, you have the option to click on the unsubscribe link to remove your address from the forum’s e-mail list.

You also have the option to unsubscribe globally from all e-mail that LACBA sends. To do this, call LACBA's Member Services Department at (213) 896-6560.

What are your thoughts? What would you like to see on LACBA.org? Send feedback to webmaster@lacba.org or call David Dain at (213) 896-6401.
