Barristers Select New Leadership for 2011-12

In an uncontested election, the Barristers finalized the selection of their incoming representatives for the next bar year. Barristers officers for 2011-12 include Sarah Luppen, president; Andrew Dhadwal, president-elect; Mark Kressel, vice president; Ori Blumenfeld, Barristers trustee; and David Reinert, immediate past president.

Appointed officers are Elizabeth Hanks, assistant vice president; Alison Pear, secretary; and Naeun Rim, treasurer.

Elected Barristers joining the Barristers Executive Committee are Elizabeth Hanks, Naeun Rim, Andrew Yen, Devon Myers, Adam Luetto, Erin Pfaff, and Philip Monahan.

Elected positions continuing in the second year of a two-year term are held by Alison Pear, Mark Kachner, Sam Yebri, Josh Ritter, Robert Glassman, John Ly, and Sarah Gettings.

Appointed positions for a one-year term will be held by Laura Riley, Phong Wong, Damon Thayer, and Christiane Roussell.

Under the Barristers bylaws, recently nominated Barristers Executive Committee and officer candidates have been deemed unanimously elected and will automatically assume their positions on July 1, 2011, as no additional candidates filed petitions to run for office against those nominated.
