Something Looks Different Here

The other day you surfed over to the LACBA Web site, and something looked, well, different. You weren’t sure you landed in the right place, so you typed in the address again. Sure enough, you were in the right spot.

What changed? A fresh new look, a new logo, a new navigation bar and menu, a new color scheme, and a new, easier readability.

A facelift for LACBA.org has been in the works and finally came to fruition this month. The old look had become familiar and didn’t match the new logo and color scheme that LACBA recently adopted. A change was in order.

The new banner at the top of the page highlights the dark blue and white colors featured in the new LACBA logos, along with scenic shots of downtown Los Angeles. The yellow border around the banner photos and in the navigation bar is gone. Replaced by a dark blue navigation bar and a lighter blue background color in the left-column's Quick Menu, the most sought-after pages are now easier to find.

Beyond the banner and the navigation bar, the left-hand navigation menu has been simplified so it’s easier to find the pages that you need, ideally in two clicks. Underneath that, you’ll find logos and hyperlinks to LACBA’s social networking Web sites. And under that, a place to click if you’d like to make a donation to the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation.

The middle column has been widened slightly so the text featuring News and Special Announcements is easy to read. Graphic icons and photos increase the column's visual appeal.

Move over to the right-hand side, and you’ll see things have changed dramatically. It’s easier to find the Member Login button because it’s bigger, as is the Register button, so you can access all of the benefits LACBA.org has to offer. We’ve also made it easier to join or renew your membership.

The Web Services Department continues to work on LACBA's Web site. In the coming weeks, the new banners will appear on all LACBA Web pages with the goal of making the Web site more visually appealing and user-friendly.
