| The Barristers Government Relations committee strives to provide a forum for new and young lawyers to develop leadership skills by interacting with judges, experienced attorneys, and elected officials from across the political spectrum. We have recently hosted events with City Controller Wendy Greuel, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, former City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, US Attorney Andre Birotte, former US Attorney Thomas O'Brien, City Councilmember Jan Perry, City Councilmember Eric Garcetti, Assemblyman Mike Feuer, and newly-elected Attorney General Kamala Harris. At each event, these leaders have discussed their vision for their respective office and the role young lawyers can play in the Los Angeles legal and public policymaking arenas.
