Help LACBA’s AIDS Legal Services Project during AIDS Walk

This year, the 26th Annual AIDS Walk on Sunday, October 17, sponsored by AIDS Project Los Angeles, has made arrangements for LACBA/HALSA to field its own walk team. Funds raised by the LACBA/HALSA team will go directly to LACBA’s AIDS Legal Services Project, which provides $1 million dollars worth of donated legal services each year.

LACBA’s project director, Laurie Aronoff, celebrating her 20th anniversary with the AIDS Legal Services Project, will head up the LACBA team of walkers and contributors. By visiting the AIDS Walk home page, http://www.aidswalk.net/losangeles, supporters can register to join a team of walkers by selecting HALSA #3282 from the drop-down menu and then begin soliciting donations. (It would also be helpful if interested walkers could send Laurie an e-mail at laronoff@halsalegal.org to let her know they’ve registered, so she can make sure to include them as part of the LACBA contribution.)

•  Half of those infected with HIV are under the age of 24.
