LACBA Provides Valuable Legal Resources for the Public

Attorneys can deliver pro bono service and acquire skill in new areas.

For more than 130 years, LACBA has focused resources on designing services and products to help both legal professionals and the public in the most effective use of our justice system.

Attorneys can volunteer their time to make several of these projects possible, often gaining valuable experience in areas of the law outside of their daily practice.

Attorneys may also find that for some of their potential clients, these services might be more appropriate than representation by an attorney when legal matters can be handled efficiently by the project rather than by a law firm.

On LACBA’s Community and Legal Services Web page, you will find roughly two dozen legal services projects to help people in Los Angeles County gain access to justice. LACBA’s goal is two-fold: guiding people through the legal system, and providing Los Angeles attorneys with client referral sources and volunteer opportunities.
