Message from the Chair

What is happening in the M&A market? Thomson Reuters recently announced that the value of announced M&A deals globally for the first quarter of 2010 exceeded that in the first quarter of 2009 by 18%. (Source: Reuters).

We are hosting a panel discussion on The State of M&A on June 29 at noon at the L.A. County Bar Association offices. Come hear our panel's take on the M&A market and earn 1.5 hours of CLE credits. More information is available on this program and how to register easily.

Please also join me in welcoming David C. Eisman, a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, as the new Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Business and Corporations Law Section of the L.A. County Bar Association.

Sincerely,
Robert R. Carlson, Section Chair
