Message from the Chair:
I want to thank everyone involved with putting together the January 29, 2010, Breakfast With The Judges, an event that addressed prejudgment remedies. In particular, I want to thank our judicial officers for taking the time to meet with us. Our subsequent program was "Ponzi Schemes, Receivers and Fraudulent Transfer" on April 15 at the University of West Los Angeles. It was a pleasure to see al of you at that event.
Our next program is "Windows into Washington," presented by David Balto: A Discussion of Hot Topics in Antitrust. This event will take place on June 11 at LACBA's offices and offers one hour of CLE credit. We encourage you to register now.

Ho v. Hsieh (Second District)
Execution of Judgement on Real Property
Statutory scheme regarding nonjudicial foreclosures does not require a trustee to search for and find all possible judgment creditors. A judgment lien holder is not entitled to automatically receive notice of borrower’s default or nonjudicial foreclosures sale. Trustee had no duty to determine lien holder’s priority among other junior liens or distribute funds to it where that lien holder did not request special notice, did not receive notice, and did not make a claim.
