LACBA’s Judicial Elections Evaluation Report for June 8 Elections to be Released
Report and other information can be found here in mid-May as a resource for clients and family.
LACBA’s Judicial Elections Evaluation Committee hosts and coordinates a review of all candidates running in contested elections for superior court offices. The extensive review process involves the submission of written materials, followed by one or more interviews or other meetings with JEEC members. Once the process is completed, the JEEC report is posted online. In addition to the report, LACBA posts candidate photos and biographies as well as other election-related resources and information as a service to our members and the public.
This year’s 35 committee members represent a cross-section by race, gender, and ethnicity of the legal community, including lawyers from the private and public sectors, corporate counsel, sole practitioners, and members of small, medium, and large law firms. Most members have broad courtroom experience, and all have a firm understanding of the qualifications required for judicial office.
