Dear Members,
This is just a reminder to consider attending the next Family Law section CLE event on Saturday, June 13, entitled Drafting and Enforcing Premarital Agreements.
Judge Mark A. Juhas, Peter M. Walzer, and Roberta Bennett will explain how to draft and enforce premarital agreements. They will discuss how to negotiate the prenup, taking into account the psychological issues inherent in relationships and marriage.
The panel will focus on limiting spousal support through prenups, separate and community property agreements, postmarital agreements, fiduciary duties, and probate waivers. The panel will also discuss litigation involving prenups from both the attorney's point of view and the court's perspective.
