County Bar Barristers Elect New Officers And Executive Board Members
|Mark T. Gillett, new Barristers President, and other Barristers officers to be installed on June 18th.
The Los Angeles County Bar Association Barristers have elected Bill Bilderback of the California Department of Justice as the 1998-1999 Barristers President-Elect. Bilderback served as Barristers Secretary this past year.
Sharon R. Terris of Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess has been elected as Barristers Vice President, following a two-year term as the Barristers representative to LACBA's Board of Trustees.
Steven Gold of the Law Offices of Charles English has been elected as the new Barristers representative to the Board of Trustees.
Stuart R. Fraenkel of Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack has been appointed Secretary for the upcoming year.
Newly elected Barristers Executive Committee members include (in alphabetical order): Julie A. Covell, Elizabeth M. Calciano, Susan E. Skelding, Vanessa A. Huey, Gabrielle Harner Brumbach, Jeffrey B. Kahan, and Linda E. Spiegel. They join Mark T. Gillett of Morrison & Foerster who becomes Barristers President, following a year as President-Elect.
The Barristers installation dinner of its new officers, executive committee, and committee chairs and vice chairs will be held on June 18th at the Regal Biltmore Hotel. Seth M. Hufstedler, Senior Of Counsel with Morrison & Foerster, will conduct the installation ceremony and provide remarks.
The Los Angeles County Bar Association (http://www.lacba.org) is the largest local voluntary bar association in the nation with a membership of more than 23,000 attorneys. The County Bar is extensively engaged in advancing the administration of justice, promoting many public service projects, and meeting the professional needs of lawyers. The Barristers Section (the new and young lawyers' section) has over 7,000 members.
