Managing Your LACBA E-Mail

You’re a busy attorney. Everyone wants your time. Clients and colleagues send you e-mail. Lots of it.

At LACBA, we send you information to help you with your job, including newsletters and announcements for the 20-odd practice areas—plus the Daily EBriefs and the cases you subscribe to specifically.

You’re probably not receiving everything LACBA sends out. However, we hope you are getting everything you want.

As a LACBA member, you have many options for selecting the messages you receive from us. Here are some of the ways you can manage your e-mails from LACBA:

  • You can unsubscribe globally. This will unsubscribe you from everything LACBA sends—completely. You can take care of this by calling the Member Service Department at 213-896-6560. As an added service, you can maintain your subscription to the Daily EBriefs while requesting no other e-mails.
  • Less radically, you can unsubscribe or subscribe to individual e-mail lists. At the bottom of every e-mail and at the bottom of every newsletter, you’ll find the link “To unsubscribe, click here.” When you click on this link, you will land on a Web page that asks you to confirm your request and then unsubscribes you only from that particular publication.
  • Likewise, in your section’s listserve, you always have the option to click on “To unsubscribe, click here.” This will take you off the forum’s listserve e-mail list.

For help managing your LACBA e-mail, you can call the Member Service Department at 213-896-6560 or e-mail MSD at msd@lacba.org
