November 13: Law Firm Leaders’ Summit—Practical Ways to Retain and Promote Women Lawyers

Register now.

“Retention and Promotion of Women Lawyers” will be the focus of the November 13 summit for law firm leaders presented by the Los Angeles County Bar Association and Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.

As a result of the efforts by a joint task force of both organizations, the summit will provide an opportunity for Los Angeles-area managing partners and others in law firm leadership to discuss with each other and with distinguished panelists the different approaches and strategies firms are using to promote and retain women, including why/how to maintain focus during the current economic turbulence.

The discussion will cover what has worked and what hasn’t in addition to the ways law firm leaders can identify and implement those practices that will work with (not against) their firm culture to help women lawyers advance in greater numbers.

While the summit will include a brief overview of the status of women lawyers in law firms, the discussion will center almost exclusively on solutions, discussion with peers, and practical advice.

The summit takes place on November 13 at the Marriott in downtown Los Angeles. View details here.
