Program Information:

Attorneys will be trained to represent criminal pro bono clients during “master calendar” hearings at the Terminal Island Detention Facility in San Pedro, CA. The training will discuss substantive criminal law in removal/deportation proceedings.

The program is free to those agreeing to participate on the pro bono panel. New lawyers will be paired with more experienced immigration attorneys. Volunteers will be agreeing to participate in 2 master calendar hearings during the year 2000-2001.
