Planned Giving Opportunities
The Counsel for Justice (CFJ) accepts many types of gifts from a Planned Gift and/or Endowment which benefits both the donor and the Counsel. Individuals and families can name CFJ as a recipient as part of their estate planning process. Making a commitment in writing, naming CFJ in your will, in a trust, as a beneficiary to an insurance policy or annuity, or simply making a major cash gift to our Endowment Fund is critical to the future of CFJ's programs and services. Gifts of stocks, bonds, securities, real estate, and personal property also qualify as a Planned Gift to CFJ.
LACBA Counsel for Justice may also be an appropriate charitable choice for members of an attorney's family. Requests for suggestions by estate planning attorneys regarding possible charitable beneficiaries might well include mention of the Counsel for Justice as a highly suitable option.
If CFJ is already a part of your estate planning, we thank you and ask that you let us know if your intended gift or bequest so that we can plan accordingly and give you appropriate recognition. If you need additional information about how to give a planned gift, please contact the CFJ office at (213) 896-6409, or e-mail the Counsel for Justice at firstname.lastname@example.org
Memorials, Tributes and Endowments
Individuals, law firms and other organizations send a memorial gift to honor the memory of business associates or members, friends and family members. A Tribute can be used to acknowledge current achievements or milestones for associates or loved ones. A card will be sent to the person informing them of your Tribute.
A memorial gift to the Counsel for Justice is a highly appropriate method of acknowledging a lifetime of service to the legal profession and perpetuating the memory of a departed colleague or admired leader of the Bar. Such a tribute assures a continuance of the honoree's influence upon the profession and the community.
