26, 2005;
Time: 6:00 p.m. -
8:30 p.m.

Bonaventure Brewing Co. (pool deck of Westin
Bonaventure Hotel),

Back by
popular demand, nine prominent professional

Lexis Nexis, as well as
Compex Legal Services, to host
the 7th Annual Summer Associate Mixer. The festivities
will be held on the pool deck of the Westin
Bonaventure Hotel, with catering provided by the
Bonaventure Brewing Co. This annual event brings
together young lawyers and lawyers-to-be with
accomplished Asian Pacific American attorneys, over
half a dozen APA bar presidents, and other
distinguished members of the legal profession.
Attorney Susan Yu, who,
together with Tom Mesereau, Jr., represented Michael
Jackson at his trial, will deliver a speech about the
practice of law. Past keynote speakers have included
Karen Nobumoto, former CA State Bar president, U.S.
Attorney Debra Yang, and John Chiang of the State
Board of Equalization.
There will be no charge for summer associates,
law students, interns, young attorneys, and members of
the participating organizations to attend. There will
be refreshments: light hors d'oeuvres and a no
host bar.
Past and anticipated co-sponsors of this event include
the Southern California Chinese Lawyers' Association (SCCLA)
and the Los Angeles County Bar Barristers (LACBA

Korean American Bar Association (KABA), Japanese
American Bar Association (JABA), Philippine American
Bar Association (PABA), South Asia Bar Association
