October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month,
But at LACBA's Domestic Violence Project,
We See it Every Day.

While the national focus will undoubtedly be turning to domestic violence in October because it's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the staff and volunteer attorneys who work with LACBA's Domestic Violence Project are focused on this issue every day. Thanks to the support of you--our members--the Project helped more than 11,000 people last year, making it the largest temporary restraining order clinic of its kind in California.

Attention Gmail Users:

As you may have noticed, Gmail has changed the way your inbox looks and functions. Rather than having one primary inbox that you're accustomed to, Gmail now divides your incoming email into five separate inboxes known as "tabs." Your LACBA email can get lost among those tabs, unless you change your settings to ensure that LACBA emails are sent to your primary inbox.

I VOLUNTEER PRO BONO TIME because I enjoy empowering victims to stand up against their abusers with the help of the legal system. I am grateful for being able to help a victim feel safe after a long time of feeling fear. --Violett Beyder
